Xernan Orticio

Xernan Orticio is one of my favorite designers and I'm always excited to watch his show during Fashion Week. He is known for his Origami inspired ensembles that's been worn by famous fashion personalities and been worn in numerous editorials from various glossies. I know Xernan personally, without being bias he is one young talented designer that has a bright future ahead of him. This season it is noticeable that he used leather and neutral colors such as khaki and nude for his 2014 Spring Summer Collection.

I asked him what inspired him in doing his collection and here is his answer;

-My inspiration for my latest collection is the Japanese art of flower arrangement, Ikebana. I incorporated my signature origami-like folds with form-hugging vine-like patterns (that mimics plant and flower stems) with the use of precised-fabric cutting, which also is a signature of mine.
-I wanted a fresher, more relaxed Xernan Orticio this season without sacrificing that Xernan Orticio "look", that's why I chose a neutral palette and ensembles that can go from day to night, as oppose to my usual sharply tailored evening numbers.

The Other part of the show is all Ready to Wear.

Arnold Galang

Blue, White and Its all about the deets: I find Arnold's collection, really refreshing, it gave me this Santorini luxurious beach resort feel in every piece. Moreover, you couldn't miss the details and bead works, such an awesome craftsmanship was put on, in every look in this collection.

John Guarnes

Cold Sunset: John Guarnes offered yellow and blue combo in his show, and what I'm really crazy about is the print he used in his clothes, I'm in love with this menswear looks rocking the print.
