Dress Sharp this Holiday Season

It's the most wonderful time of the year once again and were just 4 days away from Christmas. Celebrations and parties after parties are happening everywhere around this time; from Company Parties to Family Get-togethers, these said events give us more reasons to dress up this Holiday Season. So on my Christmas-y post I'm sharing to you my fellow Dapper Dudes some tips and guides on How to dress sharp this Yuletide Season

  • COLOR: pick and stick to only 2-3 colors in choosing pieces for your entire outfit. (example as seen above: Gray, Navy and Light Blue)
  • Most people would suggest picking Monochromatic colors when they talk about formal dressing but you could also give your look some personality by adding up some color  other than the neutrals (as shown above) and yet still look appropriately dressed.

  • EXPERIMENT: Don't be afraid to Mix and Match and play with patterns and colors, Christmas is ain't all Greens and Reds anyway.
  • Moreover, we should remember that this season is a Season of joy and festivities so try to put some fun on your dress to the Nines looks.

(These pieces are just perfect for Vintage and Throwback inspired Christmas Parties.
Add some angst in black in white by picking bold patterns like Hounds-tooth for your accesories.
Suede shoes are just Classic and timeless )

  • Nowadays, most Company Christmas Parties have themes and motifs so I suggest you research first about the chosen party theme and then look for Inspirations and use it as pegs before scouting for outfit you're going to wear.

P.S.- when you already chosen your peg, try not to go what most people would wear, take a risk to stand but still sticking to the theme.

(This gray sweater is stylish yet versatile for any occasion. I'm a fan of elbow patches because they give just a tinge of laid back attitude in any ensemble. Moreover, the texture and the details on this sweater says this ain't your regular gray sweater.)

  • Don't we just love the cold breeze of Christmas Season? Cover up still in style by going for pieces that are versatile in pairing with basic clothing items.

(Here's a different pairing with the gray sweater. This Italian Leather and Suede wingtip is  match with the inner dress shirt in this look, they both belong on the same color palette.)

  • With my recent trip to Seoul,South Korea (where now it's already freezing cold there because of Winter) I realized that it is also a must to Invest in good Sports Coats and Trench Coats specially for Jet-setters going to cold countries at this time of the year.
  • A good pair of scarves are just perfect for the Dappers braving cold winter days
  • EDIT EDIT EDIT-  don't just pile pieces over pieces when Layering. Try to edit and minimally incorporate ideas on your look.

  • For guys who is more of a preppy type like me, this combo (picture above) is just right for us. Its a little casual yet still sleek and flattering for most body types. Personally, I love Gingham prints and It's a print that's not strictly appealing only during Summer Days.
  • FIT and COMFORT: More than the stylishness of ones look, it is really important that every piece fits you well and you are comfortable what you are wearing and it speaks more about your personality than following trends.

  • TIS THE THE SEASON TO BE JOLLY: Put some taste of quirkiness on you ensemble with some of these Christmas inspired accent pieces

  • And last but definitely not the least, dressing sleek is nothing without confidence and the right attitude. I personally believe that to achieve that sharp and sleek look, one should also have confidence on what he/she is wearing and most importantly he/she is comfortable on what he/she is wearing.
